Abstract

Photocatalysts performance of the fine sediment magnetic present in this paper. The fine sediment is obtained from Bengawan Solo river. After magnetically selection following ball milling procedure, the obtained sample then irradiate treatment by Gamma irradiation Cobalt-60 source for 400 Gray. Fine sediment magnetic without gamma irradiation is selected as compared sample. Methylene blue is used as the source of the source of the dyes. The Photocatalyst result shows that the magnitude of the degradation ratio increase from 62.92% to 79.92% for the sample without and with gamma irradiation. The change of bandgap energy becomes smaller for the irradiated sample should contribute to the increase of the degradation ratio. Also, the fine sediment magnetic indicates as absorber-active material.
