Abstract

Analysis of organometallic reaction mixtures by ElectroSpray Ionization Mass Spectrometry (ESI-MS) has permitted direct observation of Heck reaction intermediates using a 15-membered triolefinic macrocyclic palladium(0) complex as a recoverable catalyst. Knowledge has been gained of the role of the above- mentioned palladium complex in the Heck reaction by using arenediazonium salts. © ARKAT.
