A Heutagogy Approach in Pensioner Entrepreneurship Training

Abstract

Using aheutagogy approach in pensioner entrepreneurship is urgent when retirees with entrepreneurial capabilities are low and faced with post-power syndrome. This research aims to find an effective training model for pre-retirees and test the heutagogy model as a training management approach so that they can maintain their sustainability as entrepreneurs. The research, which usesa design-based research (DBR) method, has developed a stronger relationship between educational research and heutagogy application practices in training management for retirees so that they can continuously apply entrepreneurship practices and for used in guiding their lives,in addition to avoiding post-power syndrome, mean that is a psychiatric condition that is generally experienced by people who lose power or position followed by declining self-esteem and characterized by a person's lack of success in adjusting to his new condition.The results of the research show that the heutagogy management model has provided operational guidance for training managers in heutagogy management to develop pensioner entrepreneurship training. The conclusion is that heutagogy management can be used as an approach in pensioner training to improve their entrepreneurship sustainabilityby way of involving and empowering their abilities.
