Serological test for HIV was positive. After a few weeks, evolves with seizures. Diagnostic imaging compatible with neurocysticercosis. Results. Opportunistic infections related to AIDS are frequent. The neurotoxoplasmosis is an infectious disease caused by the protozoan Toxoplasma gondii. It is common opportunistic infection and the leading cause of intra- cranial mass lesion in patients with AIDS. The neurocysticercosis is the common infection in underdeveloped countries. It is caused by cysticercosis (Cysticercus cellulosae or C. racemosus), larval forms of Taenia solium. Conclusion. After clinical and radiological suspicion of neurotoxoplasmosis, it is imperative to carry out HIV testing, as in this case. The neurocysticercosis and AIDS comorbidity is exceptional find, most likely a coincidence result without any predisposing rela- tionship with each other.
