TRANSLATING AN ADAPTATION OF A CHILDREN'S LITERARY CLASSIC FOR DUBBING: THE CASE OF PUSS IN BOOTS

Abstract

This article offers a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the main translation problems present in the animated series The Adventures of Puss in Boots (DreamWorks 2011-2018, USA) and its dubbed version in Valencian for the TV channel À Punt Mèdia. From a contrastive and descriptive perspective, this study focuses on the translation techniques and strategies used the targettext to solve these problems.
