Abstract
Self-regulated learning needs to be improved to face the challenges in the 21st century. The results of previous studies showed that self-regulated learning needs to be improved. It can be trained by using problem-based learning on Viruses and Bacteria among high school students because this topic is related to their daily lives. However, students find it challenging to understand. This research aims to develop web-based learning integrated with PBL that can encourage self-regulated learning for students. This research develops a multimedia-based instructional model based on Lee & Owens's perspective. The Implementation of the research was carried out by researchers using quasi-experimental. Researchers used experimental and control classes. The research instruments were validation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires for practical tests, and self-regulated learning questionnaires for test effectiveness. The results of data analysis showed that web-based learning integrated with PBL is valid and practical. The results of the effectiveness of the test with Anacova showed that there are differences in the results of the questionnaire in the control and experimental classes, so that web-based learning integrated with PBL is adequate to encourage self-regulated learning for students. The output of this research is recommended for distance learning. This research can be used as a reference for upcoming researchers to know how web-based learning media can develop self-regulated learning.
