Abstract

The National Policy for IntegralChild- Health Care (PNAISC), established by Ordinance GM/MS No. 1,130, of August 5, 2015, covers child health care under anintegral approach, and gathers actions in health care, promotion and prevention in seven strategic axes, across the different levels of care. The aim of this article is to report the development of health care in the Federal District, within the scope proposed by PNAISC and based on the guiding principles of the Unified Health System. The actions developed in each axis are described after the presentation of the assistance network of the Federal District state Health Secretariat (SHS/DF) and a brief history of child health care and its challenges, with the approach of the strategies developed for the establishment of a care network focused on integral child health care.
