Internet is a means of communication and transmission of information that has led companies to develop their business activities in knowledge-based economies. Knowledge has become the most important resource for creating competitive advantages, specifically the knowledge incorporated by companies into their processes, systems, culture, R&D, i.e., their organizational knowledge (Structural Capital). Therefore, Structural Capital disclosures by companies can improve their reputation. Thus, the objective of our work has focused on analysing the information on organizational knowledge supplied by companies in annual reports posted on their websites, as well as on its evolution over the years studied. © 2014 CSIC.
