Abstract

The library of true two-dimensional materials is limited since many transition metal compounds are not stratified and can thus not be easily isolated as nanosheets. Here, micron-sized ultrathin rutile TiO2nanosheets featuring uniform thickness (2 ± 0.5 nm) with dielectric constant (e?= 24) have been synthesizedviaa liquid metal synthesis strategy.
