Abstract
Intercombination fluorescence transitions were obsd. between the B 3Π and the X 1Σ+ states of gaseous ZrO during laser excitation of the allowed B 3Π-X' 3d transition. The X' 3Δ1-X 1Σ+ energy sepn. is +1099.08 ± 0.03 cm-1 for 90Zr16O, which verifies the fact that X 1Σ+ is the ground state. Appropriate symmetries were assigned to the lambda-doubled levels of the B 3Δ state. [on SciFinder(R)]
