Abstract

The ovenvhelming goal of large-scale cross'county rcsearch is to evaluate consumers' perception of a sharing ecornmy. The specific goal within th current paper is to evaluate ttre appropriateness ofthe existing questionnairc to study goals andthe quality ofquestions. Besides, respondents'experience in using Sharing economy services was analysed. The pilot $wey was conducted by the authors, itwolving 2,14 respordents. The cunent research allowed making corrclusioru about tle overall perception of sharing economy among Latvian citizens. Most popular sharing economy activities in which rcspondents are engaged in were detennined. The reasons for avoiding participation in the sharing economy were detected. The renrlts of tle research will be used to corduct a crosscountry suwey that will be aimed to compare the perception of a sharing economy in different countries.
