Abstract

Fog computing extends cloud services to the edge of the network, providing users with low latency computing services. In order to reduce system consumption under the stringent quality of service (QoS) requirements, a reasonable resource allocation strategy of the available computation and communication resources is necessary. In this paper, a hyper-heuristic resource allocation algorithm for fog computing is proposed. The algorithm used two level strategy cooperation, the high level strategy selected the low level heuristics in real time by evaluating indicators such as delay and energy consumption, and the low level heuristics planned the problem search domain. Simulation research shows that The proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the delay and energy consumption and achieve a better resource allocation scheme.
