Tratamiento multidisciplinario en el cáncer de cabeza y cuello

Abstract

Review article related to gold standard in the multidisciplinary approach to patients with head and neck cancer. Review was carried out in medical data bases, publications between January 2010 and December 2015. Keywords used were «interdisciplinary», «multidisciplinary», «management groups», «clinical rounds», «tumor boards», and “ head and neck cancer» (n = 57). Information related to specific experiences in head and neck management was critically reviewed, and relevant information presented (n = 29). Head and neck cancer approach in Mexico is added, based on clinical guidelines from health institutions that have the greatest number of patients with this condition.
