Abstract
Sustainable green method was adapted for the synthesis of Pure and Co (with 1and 3 mole % concentration) doped Tin oxide nanoparticles. The properties of nano particle werestudied by characterization using various techniques such as UV - Vis spectrophotometer (UV), Photo luminescence studies (PL), Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV). The determined value of optical band gap of Pure and Cobalt doped SnO2(1, 3 mole %) nanoparticles were calculated to be 5.00 eV and 4.8eV, respectively, in comparability with 3.6eV corresponding for bulk SnO2 by optical absorption measurements. Green synthesized Pure SnO2 nanoparticles shows diamagnetic behavior and it changed into ferromagnetic natureby the incorporation of cobalt ion dopant onto the massSnO2matrix. The Co doped SnO2 nanoparticles, shows the magnetization values around 0.002 emu/g. Cyclic Voltammetry(CV) results of 3 mole % cobalt doped SnO2 nanoparticles exhibits potential electrochemical behavior with 0.5597 and 0,7157 V anodic and cathodic peak currents, respectively.
