Abstract
Abstract. Tea bags are a type of tea plant that is dried and packaged in one packet to make it easier to process into a drink. In its development, the types of packaging used to package tea have developed widely in society. The aim of this research was to identify the antioxidants present in bottle cap type tea bags. The approach used in this research is quantitative data with the DPPH test. The samples used in this research were with concentrations of 10 μg/mL, 20 μg/mL, 40 μg/mL, 80 μg/mL and 100 μg/mL. Based on the identification results, it was found that antioxidants showed an IC50 value of less than 50, namely a value of 49.33434. This shows that the antioxidants contained in packaged tea bags have strong antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are compounds that are found in almost all food groups which aim to slow down the oxidation process of molecules due to exposure or free radicals. The conclusion in this research is that bottle cap tea bags are drinks that have a positive effect on health but are adjusted to a person's body condition and health.
