Abstract
This article presents a summary of recent developments in the field of lithium-ion battery anode materials. It first emphasises the pivotal role that anode materials play in determining the total efficiency of lithium-ion batteries. Furthermore, the article examines the diverse range of anode materials and highlights the distinct performance characteristics of each in real-world applications. Additionally, it synthesizes and assesses the pivotal research constraints and challenges that have emerged during the development process. Finally, it presents recommendations for future research directions in anode materials, encompassing a multitude of aspects such as novel material types, structural innovations, and electrode reactions, with a particular emphasis on promising innovative strategies.
