Abstract

The aerial parts of A. fistulosus L. were investigated and yielded six anthraquinones; asphodelin, asphodelin 10'-anthron, aloesaponarin II, aloe-emodin, chrysophanol and desoxyerythrolaccin, in addition to chrysoeriol and luteolin. The identification was established by means of physical, chemical, and spectroscopic examinations.
