Freudian unconscious and cognitive neuroscience

Abstract

Talvitie proposes a four-level model to accommodate an understanding of the Freudian unconscious in terms of cognitive neuroscience. The model is reviewed with reference to both Talvitie's exposition of the unconscious and that of other neuroscientists.
