Abstract
Power supply is today a major concern in the current world. With the advent of renewable energy technology, and more so photovoltaic (PV) systems, more efficient energy management procedures are required to maintain stability in the power system. In this extensive study, the complex area of energy management schemes and the development of energy control techniques is outlined, with specific emphasis on hybrid photovoltaic (PV) battery-supercapacitor system optimization. The research consists of a comprehensive literature survey of emerging technology, state-of-the-art technology, and most prominent considerations in the design and implementation of energy management initiatives. The survey conducts a thorough examination of relevant literature and case studies with a view to synthesizing existing knowledge and providing future research and development emerging trends. As the world increasingly demands cleaner energy sources, the findings of this in-depth analysis are a valuable contribution to the current stock of scholarly literature on energy management optimization in grid-connected hybrid systems. The findings can help accelerate the photovoltaic harnessing and a sustainable and greener energy tomorrow.
