Climate change and human health

Abstract

Air pollution and climate change both pose a significant burden on human health and well-being, and are associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Strong association of both has been described with increased prevalence and or severity of respiratory, cardiovascular, infectious, immune, metabolic and neoplastic disease, and even with psychosocial diseases. This review summarizes the current data on air pollution and climate change, and their impact on human health.
