Abstract

This study examines the model of village governance based on local wisdom. The locus in this paper is Sekapuk Village, Ujungpangkah District, Gresik Regency. This study is an exploratory study that combines qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Village governance based on local wisdom in the study location can run optimally, this is indicated by the preparation of village development planning and budget planning that have utilized local knowledge, local values, local skills, local resources and local decision-making mechanisms. Local wisdom in the study location has effectively utilized village government resources that are managed independently, participatory and aspirational.
