Shaping organizations sustainably: Insights and perspectives

Abstract

This editorial is published in the journal Gruppe. Interaction. Organization. (GIO), in the special issue “Shaping organizations sustainably.” It briefly introduces the topic of sustainability, sustainable development, and sustainability perspectives in the organization, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and CSR/ESG criteria. It provides insights into previous research on sustainability in organizations and the additional knowledge gained through the contributions contained in the special issue. Moreover, it discusses possible future developments in research to contribute to organizations’ sustainable development actively.
