Abstract

In this study, a method of controlling vehicles at intersections based on the auction idea was proposed, which can be compatible with unmanned vehicles and human driving vehicles, ensuring driving safety and improving traffic efficiency at intersections. Collecting vehicle reservation requests through the bidding unit at intersections, this method provided reasonable vehicle traffic strategies according to information such as vehicle routing (Route), budget (M), hunger coefficient and credit coefficient. The simulation results show that the method of controlling vehicles at intersections based on the auction idea can effectively reduce the average delay of vehicles caused by waiting and improve the throughput of the intersection, verifying the effectiveness of this method.
