Abstract

Twelve cases of Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Clavicle seen over a period of 13 years have been retrospectively reviewed. In one patient the pseudarthrosis was located on the left side, a site seldom reported previously. The embryology of the clavicle is described. A new radiological classification into 4 types is proposed. The differential diagnosis of the condition is discussed. Different methods of treatment have been analyzed, showing that better results are obtained with resection of the focus, interposition of a bone graft and wire internal fixation.
