Abstract

This paper presents the study of building envelope for a waste to energy plant through heat transfer simulation. The study aimed to investigate the required envelope for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) incineration. The building envelope is important because of the possible heat transmission that might disrupt the safety of its surroundings. The results showed how secondary skin could obstruct the transmission of heat. The steps of study are as follows: (1) a study of heat transfer on building envelope, and (2) a study of different types of material and its level of conductivity.
