Abstract

Anaesthetic requirements and cardiovascular responses of commonly used tranquilizers, immobilizers and anaesthetics are variable in common laboratory animals as well as domestic and other wild animals. The reasons for this include size, training, hydration, metabolic rate, excitement or wildness, absence or presence of confinement and perhaps many other unknown factors.
