Abstract
A straightforward synthesis for the anticoagulant rodenticide chlorophacinone is described. The short synthesis uses commercially available mandelic acid and 1,3-indanedione as staring materials. © 2011 Verlag der Zeitschrift für Naturforschung, Tübingen.
