Abstract

A new guaiane-type sesquiterpene glycoside, lactuside C, has been isolated from Lactuca sativa L. (Compositae), together with two known glycosides, lactuside A and macrocliniside A. The structure of the new compound was determined on the basis of chemical and spectral data. © 1987, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
