Abstract

An effective strategy for enhancing students' mathematical problem-solving capabilities is the implementation of a realistic mathematics education approach. The objective of this research endeavor is to ascertain the impact of the Realistic Mathematics Education methodology on the mathematical problem-solving proficiency of SMP Negeri 4 Kendari seventh-grade pupils. This study is a quantitative quasi-experimental investigation. Purposive sampling is utilized in the sampling method. VII.10 is the control class, while VII.11 is the experimental class. Observation, documentation, and tests of mathematical problem-solving abilities are processes of data collection. Methods of data analysis include the mann-whitney test for inferential analysis. The results of this research indicate that the Realistic Mathematics Education Approach has an influence on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class VII students at SMP Negeri 4 Kendari.
