Abstract

With the advent of social media, the world has become more accessible, enabling people to interact globally and voice their opinions on various topics through popular platforms like Twitter. The tweets made by various users regarding any matter form a vast data set which, through proper methods and algorithms can be exploited to understand the prevailing public sentiment on that subject. This paper uses Lexicon-based sentiment analysis of live tweets from Twitter to arrive at a consensus about user opinions.
