Abstract
Viewed from the perspective of social media, globalization is an alternative to the emergence of small languages into the global world. In addition, social media became an alternative to the limitations of conventional media. This is evidenced by the emergence of Sundanese-language groups in social media such as Facebook and Twitter that can be accessed by everyone without knowing the country's borders. One group in the social media, the Fiksmini Bahasa Sunda (FBS) group on the Facebook page that was born on September 16, 2011. The group consists of more than 4,000 members from various countries. This group is committed to the use of Sundanese in accordance with the rules of the Sundanese language. Many new writers are born through this group and FBS has urged senior writers to publish their works in Sundanese. Part of their work is then published in conventional media such as magazines and books. In addition, the FBS group has inspired also the emergence of other Sundanese groups both focusing on literary forms (e.g. fiksimini, short stories, poems, haiku, pantun) and not literature. Methods of research used qualitative methods with literature study techniques. Through the study of fiksimini in social media in this paper will be discussed, is awareness of the Sundanese language community (Sundanese) to Sundanese language still high related with the condition of the Sundanese language as the local language in the endangered category. © 2018, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Press.
