Abstract
Libraries in the Era of Disruption 4.0 provide many challenges as well as experience many changes, so libraries need leaders who are able to bring change to a better direction in accordance with the current situation, namely the era of disruption 4.0. This article aims to determine library leadership in the era of disruption 4.0 based on transformational leadership theory. The method used in this article is the library research method or literature study. Collecting data in this article through various sources such as books, journals, archives, policies / regulations, and so on. The results in this article are that libraries in the era of disruption 4.0 require leaders who are able to inspire and convince followers (librarians) of the importance of libraries to survive in the midst of the development of information technology, or what is called the era of disruption 4.0. The leader is a leader with the concept of transformational leadership, namely (1) a leader who is able to become a lifelong learner; (2) a leader who has a vision that is able to convince his subordinates; (3) leaders who are able to become facilitators and actors at the same time in carrying out library work; (4) a leader who is able to become the center of inspiration and motivation of his subordinates (librarian); (5) leaders who are able to improve intellectually or stimulate intellectual librarians.
