Abstract

A national survey on the public perception of the pandemic threat was conducted in France during the summer of 2008. Although the majority of the respondents displayed beliefs and attitudes toward the pandemic threat that could be considered as adaptive in the face of an outbreak, our results suggest that there are identifiable needs for public information about the transmission and prevention of the disease. © 2009 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.
