Abstract

From Antarctic samples were obtained yeast isolates that were investigated for exopolysaccharide synthesis. The screening process revelated that significant number of psychrophilic yeasts had the ability to produce biopolymers. Perspective strains were selected. A physico-chemical analysis of Antarctic samples was made. © 2009 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
