Abstract

Actual problems of measuring the turbulent exchange in and above forests are discussed. The present state of knowledge regarding the micrometeorology of forests is poor, and there are good opportunities for experimental and theoretical research. A wider participation of universities and research institutes (in forest meteorological research) and their international coordination is needed.-from Author
