Abstract

Site classification curves are presented for the mixed conifer selection forests of the California Pine region. The classification is based on the height-age relation for dominant trees of one or more of the four species Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa), Sugar Pine (Pinus lambertiana), Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga taxifolia) and Silver Fir (Abies venusta). KEYWORDS: Abies venusta \ forest management \ Pinus lambertiana \ Pinus ponderosa site classification \ Pseudotsuga taxifolia site classification \ site class assessment \ site factors
