Abstract
The chronic effects of the asymmetrical biomechanical demands placed on the body of Paralympic throwers stress the importance of proper preparation. The usage of high-volume preactivity warm-ups has generated a great deal of interest within the strength and conditioning community. However, it has not been used with Paralympic throwers. This column will examine the applicability of a high-volume preactivity warm-up for Paralympic track and field throwers.
