Abstract

Performing complex thoracoscopic procedures can necessitate the use of multiple instruments and, consequently, the use of multiple ports. This results in parietal harm and in overcrowding of the operative field with instrument conflicts. We present the interest of using lung retractors and vascular clamps that can be released inside the chest cavity without blocking a trocar access. © 2010 Published by European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.
