Abstract

The article presents a forum discussion on the military space policies of China, particularly in regards to their relations with the United States. The development of space-focused anti-satellite defense weaponry by China and its opposition by the United States is discussed, analyzing the underlying political motivations behind the move. Questions are raised regarding the existence of American or Sinocentric hegemonic ideologies in either party. Suggestions regarding U.S. policy in reaction to the Chinese moves are also explored.
