Abstract

The peat sample was submitted to pollen anlaysis at the Geological; Survey of Finland, and the nuts were dated with the radiocarbon method. The sizes and shapes of the nuts were studied, a macrofossil analysis was made, and the tree species were identified from the peat at the Department of Botany of the University of Helsinki. -Authors
