Abstract

Single cell transcriptome analysis is a powerful tool fordefining cell types or sub-populations within a heterogeneousbulk population. Tumor-associated microenvironment is acomplex ecosystem consisting of numerous cell types thatsupport tumor growth, angiogenesis, immune evasion, andmetastasis. With the success of checkpoint inhibitors targetingthe immune cell compartment, tumor microenvironment isemerging as a potential anti-cancer target, and understanding ithas become an imminent subject in cancer biology.
