Abstract

Libraries usually have a lot of reading books so searching manually takes a long time. Libraries that do not yet have a book search system will make it difficult for visitors and take a long time to search for books because they have to search one by one on the bookshelf. It is possible to create a library information retrieval system to facilitate book search. By manually changing the system to a web-based system, it is hoped that all system activities will make it easy for the library to carry out activities to serve users and meet user demands for library service changes. The solution to overcome this problem is to create an information retrieval system or search engine in the library using the content-based filtering method. This system can display 10 recommendations based on the criteria or keywords searched for. The process of searching for books with religious categories and keywords guide to the religion of Islam to get a book recommendation is the Complete Guide to Islam in Kafah with the greatest similarity of 0.775
