Abstract

Urban planning and design must take climate change into account since the Earth’s changing climate patterns present considerable problems to metropolitan areas. This study focuses on The Line City, a visionary project in Saudi Arabia, to examine how to incorporate climate change as a significant aspect in the construction of future cities. The ambitious Line City project seeks to provide a technologically sophisticated, sustainable, and adaptable urban environment. The integration of climate-responsive design features into the planning and development of The Line City is explored through a thorough analysis of the city’s design, planning, and climate adaptation proposal. The integration of green infrastructure, energy-efficient buildings, smart urban planning techniques, adaptable infrastructure systems, social justice, and public health issues are only some of the topics covered in the study. This study intends to offer insights on how to successfully include climate change aspects into the design and construction of future cities through the detailed case analysis of The Line City. The findings of this study advance knowledge of climate-resistant urban design and offer insightful recommendations for the city’s sustainable growth in response to climate change problems.
