Abstract

Every day people die from work accidents or work-related illnesses, more than 2.78 million deaths per year and there are approximately 374 million non-fatal work-related injuries and illnesses each year, including farmers and fishermen. This study aims to describe the culture of K3 Farmers and Fishermen langgudu subdistrict Bima, then explain the reasons for the absence of Post UKK. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive design that is explorative, sampling this study by conducting purposefull sampling, the total number of samples taken by researchers is as many as 14 (fourteen) informants, with details of informants at the puskesemas office 2 (two), representatives of farmer and fishermen organizations 2 (two) informants, and the community of farmers and fishermen 10 (ten people). In the results of this study, in preventing fires at work, fishermen use a simple wet cloth to kill the fire in the ship, while for farmers, the prevention of bleeding from falling and slashing sharp weapons still use leaves that they believe can heal wounds. Farmers and fishermen still do not understand about Pos UKK, some farmers and fishermen complain about dues and heavy working time to prepare the group. Farmers and fishermen need to be given more knowledge about K3 culture in their work.
