Abstract

The present research highlights the great influence of the physical education (PE) subject on primary school students' satisfaction and intention to be physically active, which determines healthy adherence and lifestyle. The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of PE on students' degree of satisfaction and intention to engage in physical activity (PA). We opted for a mixed quantitative-qualitative approach with data being collected both through surveys and observation of participants. An experimental group followed an intervention program, whereas a control group engaged in the pre-established activities during a semester. Multiple triangulation was run for the analysis of the data. The experimental group had significantly greater interest in the class (p <.020).
