Abstract

The prevalence of malnutrition and undernutrition status of children under five in Jambi Province In 2018 was found to be 19.9%, an increase compared to 2013 which was 17.2%. The purpose of this study was to determine the Strategy of Community Empowerment in Toddlers Against Stunting Events in a COVID-19 Pandemic Situation at the Eastern Health Center of Kerinci Regency in 2021. This study used mixed methods, quantitatively using a cross-sectional and qualitative approach using a phenomenological approach, carried out in May-In July 2021, the population was 2488 people and a sample of 93 people, namely toddlers at the Eastern Health Center of Kerinci Regency in 2021 and 9 informants. Data analysis with Chi Square test and logistic regression test. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test, History of LBW (0.000), Infectious Diseases (0.000), and Feeding Patterns 0.000, history of exclusive breastfeeding (0.003), health services (0.037). The most dominant factor in Stunting Incidence in a COVID-19 Pandemic Situation was a history of LBW (p-value 0.000). The input has been achieved, the process has been going well, and the output has not achieved the stunting prevention program target due to the lack of maximum activities carried out during the covid-19 pandemic, it is recommended for the Puskesmas to improve the Community Empowerment strategy in the form of socialization about making interesting food in the form of nuggets. tempeh, fish nuggets, and vegetable nuggets that have high nutritional value so that it will reduce the incidence of stunting in these toddlers.
