Distemper is a viral disease, multisystem, worldwide distribution, with high rates mortality, which affects carnivores domestic and wild. The primary route of infections is the tract upper respiratory, where the virus installs itself and multiplies spread to the system lymphatic following the rest of the organism. Clinical signs develop shortly after infection and affects the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal and the neurological system. The objective of this study is to review of literature in canine distemper, reporting its etiology, prevalence, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.
