Abstract

The “Systematized nomenclature of madicine in the United States” contains over 40, 000 pathological changes of diseases. On the other hand Chinese traditional medicine has only about 100 functional disorders of men, these consist of fundamental categories of symptomes, such as “ba gong bian zhen”, “qi xue jin ye bian zhen”, “zong fu bian zheng” “liujing bian zhen” and “wei-giying bian zheng” (bian zheng means differential consideration or diagnosis). However, morbid alterations are common occurrence, whether their nominations are given or not. The possibility of comparing diseases of Eastern and Western medicine, , under the newly established method, which is focused on the distribution of accessory pathological changes in many autopsy cases and is classified into common categories, is discussed.
