Abstract

Climate change has a huge impact on companies, which are exposed to physical, regulatory, judicial, reputational and financial risks. These risks have forced companies to react and manage them to adapt, decrease vulnerability and increase resilience to climate change effects. In parallel, numerous legal initiatives aimed at mitigating greenhouse gases, as well as promoting adaptation, have changed the environment in which companies operate. Climate change and its effects have put an end to business as usual, posing companies in a new scenario of challenges and opportunities.
