A numerical approach for investigating a special class of fractional Riccati equation

Abstract

A computational scheme for solving special type of fractional Riccati equation with singularly perturbed (FRSP) is investigated. It is based on dividing the equation into algebraic equation and fractional equation. We generate the algebraic equation by setting ε=0. We divide the interval [0,1] into two sub-intervals which are [0,ζ0] and [ζ0,1]. We discuss how to find the best choice of ζ0. Numerical examples are presented to show that the proposed technique is promising.
